T.V. Shows portraying race

Showing different stereotypes in T.V. shows raises questions in the viewers minds like, how is an inner city African American boy going to be raised in bel air (Fresh Prince of Bell Air). They would say its not realistic, its impossible, it could never happen. It is a good thing that people are thinking about these ideas, but they shouldn't look at it as if it would never happen, but they should look at these shows as a way to inspire African American children to strive for the best they can be instead of getting involved with the gang life. This does not necessarily have to pertain to African Americans. We could use the show "The Beverley Hillbillies" which is portraying white trash or poor white people. Both of these show should be an inspiration to want more for yourself, your future, your life.
